Territory Business Manager 

 

What you'll be doing... 

 

You will craft effective sales and marketing strategies designed to maximize business sales within your territory as you and your team aim to meet or achieve monthly sales quotas.  To be successful in this role, you recognize that the key to success starts with hiring & developing a high performing team and invest your time, energy, and resources accordingly. As a Territory Manager, you will also: 

  

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a direct sales team of Business Managers (BMs)   
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas within assigned territory  
  • Foster a culture that aligns with Victra’s values of Performance, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration & Celebration  
  • Weekly field visits with BM team focused on store visit ride-alongs, side-by-side prospecting, sales appointments, & partner meetings  
  • Direct team on time and travel management to ensure the company's resources produce a positive return on investment  
  • Assist team members in closing large sales and handling customer escalations  
  • Partner with retail leadership team within assigned area, build relationships, and take part in calls, meetings, and other opportunities to promote and drive business sales  
  • Partner with the Verizon’s business team to develop plans that support sales and training initiatives within assigned territory  
  • Conduct regular calls with BM team to review sales performance and forecasts, funnel management and ensure execution on business initiatives  
  • Coach & develop team with frequent performance reviews & training sessions  
  • Stay current on all business processes, promotions, and incentives  
  • Partner with retail leadership team on planning and execution of retail lead generation strategy  
  • Monthly business reviews with sales leadership  
  • Partner with the Sales Support Team to ensure compliance to Victra policies & standard operating procedures

What we're looking for... 

 

You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to help the team win. Your effectiveness to take care of external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude is a requirement for this position. You should bring a high level of enthusiasm, organizational and leadership ability, and a strong work ethic.  A background that includes motivating and leading a team to success is highly favored. We are also looking for you to bring the following: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field  
  • A minimum of 4 years of outside sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment  
  • Prior track record of achievement in sales positions, demonstrating significant accountability and achieving targets for a large sales territory  
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; wireless retail field sales experience is preferred  
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)  
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds  
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time (unless accommodations are required/requested for an employee under the ADA) 

Travel Requirements 

  • Minimum 50% within assigned territory (some overnight travel required)  
  • You will receive monthly mileage reimbursement, company issued credit card, computer, discounted phone service and phone stipend. Due to the travel requirement, you will need to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record check and have a clean driving record. 

Training Requirements  

All new hires are required to attend and successfully complete a four day New Hire University (NHU) training program within two weeks of their official start date. This class may include overnight travel at the company's expense. Various online and computer-based training will be required throughout your employment with Victra.
